HD30 NETWORKS

Miniature plug in circuit board allows racer to change the overall band resistance to best suit the type of motor being used. The higher the listed ohms the slower the band response and the lower the listed ohms the faster the band response. All 1/24 controllers and modules come standard with a 148 ohm network. As an example, changing to a 180 ohm network would slow the controller response and a 113 ohm network would speed up the controllers' response. The standard networks are soldered and ready to install and have the same value resistance per band. The custom networks have miniature sockets and various values of resistors that plug in so they can be mixed and matched to get the desired band response.

How to choose a network: Many factors affect the network you should choose. Faster motors, of any scale, require more power and a faster response network. Higher the track voltage will make a controller feel more sensitive (faster) and a lower track voltage will make a controller feel less sensitive (slower). You're driving preference will also influence your choice in networks. Any network can be used for any scale depending on the above factors. Use the recommendations below to judge the network that is right for you. Contact Jim at Difalco Design with any questions.

Note: the network resistance shown, 180 ohms for example, is the resistance needed to control our transistor circuit and should not be confused with the ohms rating on a typical Parma type resistor. Slower or faster response comments are when compared to the stock 148 ohm network used for 1/24 scale. 1/32 and H.O. controllers come standard with a 290 ohm network. Any network with a lower ohm will have a faster response and a network with a higher ohm will have a slower response compared to a 290 ohm network.

DD255: Standard Resistor Network. 180 ohm, slower response for 16d, Falcon and Retro type motors. Very fast response for 1/32.  $18.50

DD256: Standard Resistor Network. 113 ohm, faster response for 16d, G12, G15 and G20 motors. Best for 1/24 scale.  $18.50

DD257: Standard Resistor Network. 78 ohm, very fast response for G15, G20, G27 and G7 type motors. Best for 1/24 scale.  $18.50

DD258: Custom Resistor Network.  Slow response. 33 each of 3 different value resistances let you customize response for scale racing. 136,162 and 198 ohms of total resistance if the same value is used per band. You can also mix and match resistors to best suit your track and driving style. 1/24 or 1/32 scale.  $26.50

DD259: Custom Resistor Network. Faster response. 33 each of 3 different value resistances let you customize response for higher speed tracks and motors.  87,113 and 136 ohms of total resistance if the same value is used per band or you can mix and match response to best suit your track and driving style. Best for 1/24 scale.  $26.50

DD260: Custom Resistor Network. Very Fast response. 33 each of 3 different value resistances for customized response for high power G15, G20, G27 and G7 motors.  64, 87 and 113 ohms of total resistance if the same value is used per band. You can also mix and match to best suit your track and driving style. Best for 1/24 scale.  $26.50

DD262: Standard Resistor Network. 290 ohm, slow response for H.O. and 1/32 scale cars. This is the standard network in all 1/32 and H.O. controllers. $18.50

DD263: Standard Resistor Network. 218 ohm, fast response for higher power H.O. and 1/32 scale cars.  $18.50

DD264: Custom Resistor Network. West Coast Network. Specially selected resistance values for Retro, Scale, and 1/32 racing gives a flatter response over the first 20 controller bands. This lets the racer drive in the middle of the bands and negotiate difficult and twisty track sections with ease. 191 total ohms when set up as suggested. Excellent for Retro or 1/32 scale.  $26.50

DD272: Standard Resistor Network. 148 ohm, average response. This is the standard network for 1/24. Very, very fast response for your 1/32 controller. $18.50

DD282: Standard Resistor Network.  377 ohm, very, very slow response compared to stock 290 ohm network. Excellent for Fray type H.O. cars.  $18.50
